Principle features of project:
- Envair and Bassaire Northern were chosen by SSL International (best known for their leading global consumer brands Scholl and Durex) for a major turnkey project at SSL international, Peterlee, UK
- Total turnkey project comprised provision of a new purpose built dispensary and refurbishment of the manufacturing facility for branded medicines
- Envair's part comprised the installation of four downflow booths, each having integrated weighing and computerised dispensing systems, in the new dispensary. The downflow booths were:
- One completely new Envair DB 'Touch' downflow booth complete with touchscreen control, self monitoring and automatic adjustment
- One existing downflow booth from another site, for which Envair provided new sidewalls
- Two existing downflow booths from the old dispensary at Peterlee
- Envair's responsibility included provision of teams of engineers
- to dismantle the booth at another SSL site
- to relocate it in the new dispensary at Peterlee
- to relocate the two booths from the old dispensary at Peterlee
- to commission and validate all four booths
- Total turnkey package was valued at £415k
